This product has been manufactured using pressure treatment. This process is often referred to as tanalising and is far superior to any process where wood is dipped or has a base coat applied.
Tanalising involves impregnation with Tanalith E (environmentally friendly) wood preservative, in a vacuum pressure timber impregnation plant. When impregnated into the timber the chemicals become locked into the wood and cannot be removed. The treatment described above provides long term protection from fungal, insect attack and rot.

All the timber we use in the manufacturing process is Swedish Redwood and it is sourced from sustainably managed forests, which adhere to strict Forest Stewardship Scheme (FSC) guidelines.
