The Ellerton chicken House is a unit that is built with strength and quality in mind. This house provides accommodation for up to 15 layers dependant on breed. The three nest boxes are weatherproof and allow external access for easy collection. A chicken run is available for this coop. Fixed ventilation helps avoid respiratory diseases and other health problems for poultry. There is a door at the front of the chicken coop and removable side panel giving access for easy cleaning.

I researched chicken coops on the web for ages and eventually came to the conclusion that buying a cheaper flimsy coop from abroad was false economy as it would fall in pieces after a winter so I looked for something that was better quality and would last many years and I came across Steve Fishers hen coops. When I spoke to Steve about what I needed in a coop he was very accommodating and altered the design of the ellerton to my requirements. The coop arrived promptly and was easy to put together with clear instructions. I was unfortunate to have a leak in the roof of the coop and after speaking to Steve he sent out a replacement roof very quickly no problems. The coop is excellent quality as is the customer service from Steve Fisher.

My old chicken coop for my 5 hens and 1 cockerel was old and a bit small, so I decided to purchase the Ellerton Coop. This would mean that I could increase my flock to around 12-15 birds. Prior to ordering I laid a concrete base for the coop to sit on, in Isly we get winds up to 100mph during winter so whilse laying the base I buried some metal straps so I could screw these to the coop to prevent it blowing away.

Our chicken house has arrived, safe and sound. We must mention the great delivery driver who was extremely helpful and was funny with it. We are absolutely thrilled with our new house. The craftsmanship is wonderful and the attention to detail is second to none. The assembly information is very clear and we cannot wait to get on with putting it together, when the rain abates.
