Fishers Woodcrafts are based near York in North Yorkshire and serve the whole of the UK, Ireland, The Channel Isles and Europe. Our staff have a combined 58 years experience in the manufacture of timber framed buildings. Steve Fisher is third generation poultry farmer/keeper. The experience in both fields allows us to design poultry houses, runs, chicken coops and arks that are both practical and cost effective without sacrificing quality, strength and the birds requirements.
All of our shiplap cladding and tongue and groove floors and roofs are finished to 16mm (5/8 in old money) All of the timber used in our houses is treated. We do not use any form of board material ie plywood or osb board. Pure natural redwood throughout.

As well as farmers, smallholders and individual customers, our houses have been supplied to schools, agricultural colleges, local authorities, city farms, farming museums and the RSPCA.

All of our log stores are made in the traditional method of framed and braced panels. This means if you are assembling or diss-assembling the Log Store, you are only screwing the panels together there is no nailing of boards to do, the average assembly time is 10 minutes.

Our Log Stores are made from 20mm thick boards and all of our Tongue and Groove Shiplap roofs are finished to 16mm thickness the same as our Tongue and groove doors. All nails and screws are gavanised or Zinc Chromate plated. We do not use cheap inferior feather board on any of our units.

All of our log stores, chicken houses and garden bars are made from either Solid Oak or Tanalith pressure treated Swedish Redwood. All wood used is FSC certified. They are Stylish and Sturdy and built to last.
